Is the iPhone going to be available for Verizon Wireless anytime?

I really want an iPhone but have Verizon Wireless, not US Cellular. Will I be able to get an iPhone without having to switch providers soon?

You can unlock the phone and use it with different carriers. I have an iphone and use T-mobile.

Not until at least 2010. Thats when the exclusivity contract with AT&T is over. If they do not renew, they may make a cdma version of the iPhone for Verizon and Sprint
